Network architect:

Network architects are among the best-compensated workers in the networking industry. They often include designing and building Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and intranets.  They also manage existing networks, analyse their performance, and devise solutions for improved networking.  Most network architects have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience.

 

Network Service Technician:

Network service technicians are responsible for designing computer networks and installing their components. They involve maintaining hardware, testing software, and ensuring peripheral devices are running as they should. They also repair networking errors at client locations and perform network upgrades.

 

Network security engineer:

Network security engineers need to have an understanding of the fundamentals of both networking and information security. Their responsibilities might include provisioning, deploying, configuring, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network security hardware and software. And also conduct risk assessments or penetration testing, as well as monitoring logs for signs of potential security breaches.

 

Network Programmer:

The Network Programmer develops the network and server-related functions and writes code or script for the network analysis. Additionally, they are responsible for configuring APIs and integrating technologies into the network as new technologies are developed.

 

Network manager:

Network managers need to have both technical skills and people skills, a combination that can be difficult for employers to find. They are ultimately responsible for maintaining computer networks with software updates and hardware upgrades, providing technical support, and training other employees on best practices.

 

Wireless network engineer:

Wireless Network Engineers deal with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of wireless network devices. Also, after the exposure of Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) DevOps, the coming of 5G, and virtualization, the role of Wireless Network Engineer has expanded more.

 

Network administrator:

The role of a network administrator is to ensure the stable operation of the computer networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.

 

Network security administrator:

The network security administrator is responsible for installing network security protocols. Additionally, these network professionals troubleshoot security issues as they arise and perform daily administrative tasks about an organization’s network.

 

Network intelligence engineer:

Network intelligence engineer requires knowledge and hands-on experience in security with an emphasis on engineering design, configuration, implementation, operations, and maintenance of a variety of security technologies. And must also have the ability to construct network visualizations.

 

Cyber defence network engineer:

Cyber defence network engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, overseeing, implementing, and upgrading security networks and systems to protect all sensitive data of an organization. This is one of the many emerging networking roles with a cyber security focus.
